We wish everyone good health.
Annieglass founder Annie Morhauser and daughter Ava Reinhold will be telling their story of building a business driven by a passion for glass shared by generations of Southern women. Please join them at Tish Gammill Home in Hattiesburg, MS on Thursday, March 26th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, talk at 1:00 pm.
They will be personally introducing the newest Annieglass collection for Spring. Hattiesburg Arts Council will receive 10% of the event sales. Engraving orders for Mother’s Day are free. Annieglass; A Mother-Daughter Business event is free and open to the public to expand awareness of women-owned businesses.
The mother/daughter duo run Annieglass, a well-loved line of handcrafted glass dinnerware, gifts and sculpture noted for the beauty and durability of the 24kt gold or platinum designs. Their factory on California’s Monterey Bay produces over 60,000 pieces of Annieglass annually. Two pieces from the Annieglass Shell Series were chosen as part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The company was founded in 1983 when Annie found herself in need of a job after graduating art school. Her story of building a non-traditional artisanal business that requires the skills of designer, engineer, scientist, marketer and manufacturer is fascinating.
Tish Gammill Home is also run by a mother and daughter. Tish Gammill and Anne Gammill Harmon expanded Tish’s interior design company with Anne’s successful bridal registry business to be one of the top Annieglass retailers in the U.S. "We are so excited to welcome Annie Morhauser to our store in Hattiesburg again. People love her visits because they love to meet the artist who designed the pieces they have enjoyed owning, using and giving as gifts for years” comments Anne Gammill Harmon
