Join us to learn the ancient technique of Shibori Indigo Dyeing and create your own unique set of 4 dinner napkins to bring home! We will learn the basics of the Japanese art of folding and binding fabric to create timeless patterns, mix a vat of indigo dye together, and experience the magic of this natural dyeing technique! Each guest is welcome to bring a small piece of their own to dye at the end, which must be 100% natural fiber.

About the teacher
Kaitlin Bonifacio studied the ancient art of Shibori in both Hawaii and Japan before relocating to Santa Cruz, CA. A mother of two and owner of the Yuzu & Rose line of Shibori home, mama & baby products, she is inspired by the natural beauty of Coastal California landscape and enjoys the magical process of hand dyeing, the challenge of creating natural, plant-based dyes of her own, and the joy of sharing her products and techniques with the community through teaching. Find Kaitlin at her studio The Craftsmen Collective, or around the Bay Area hosting natural dye workshops!
