Annie and Debbie will discuss courage and fear, subjects they both know something about. The author will be signing and selling books. Half the proceeds will go to the Watsonville Library.

Every beach was run by men who claimed the biggest surf and the gnarliest conditions. Women were met with raised eyebrows: Can she cut it here?

On a cold, foggy morning in 1978, eighteen-year-old Debbie Friedman stood in the sand at Huntington Beach with one hundred men. The starting gun fired. She charged into the surf—and into a new life.

Annieglass is durable, dishwasher safe, and chip-resistant (although not recommended for oven or microwave use). Colors and textures will vary due to our handmade process. To ensure authenticity, every piece is hand-engraved with our studio signature and dated.

If your piece features one of Annieglass’ most iconic designs: a hand-painted band of precious metal, this metal rim is permanently fused within the glass during Annie’s perfected kiln firing process. This metal rim will not chip or wear off.

UPS 2nd Day Air (arrives in 3-5 business days)

Delivery time is depending on your proximity to our production studio on California’s central coast and shelf availability of our handcrafted product. We unable to ship to P.O. boxes.

    For those collections with a 24k gold or genuine platinum trim, our artisans’ individual brush strokes, as well as a slightly distressed appearance of the precious metal trims are testament to our handcrafted glassware process. These effects are by no means a defect, but rather are intentionally crafted into every unique Annieglass piece to celebrate the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi—in which asymmetry and “imperfection” enhance.
