Earth Day 2021
Earth Day has a lot more meaning to me this year. After a few weeks of last year's pandemic shut down photos were circulating of the first full view of the Himalayas without the usual smog obscuring them. It was breathtaking. Then shots of cities we had never seen before in their beauty, without man made pollution started appearing and it made me feel a little better about the world in general.
8 years ago, I locked myself in a room until I figured out a way to use up all our scrap glass when the factory near Fresno that took it all to remelt shut down. I came out with Greenieglass first and the Elements Collection next, patent pending. By reusing scrap glass, the studio is able to maintain near zero waste goals by avoiding using landfills and consciously utilizes green practices in every step of production.
